Call For Papers: AAR Western Regional Meeting

The Institute of Buddhist Studies will be hosting the Western Regional Meeting of the American Academy of Religion from March 23-25, 2018. The co-chairs of the Western Region’s Buddhist Studies unit are encouraging IBS and GTU students, faculty, and community members to submit paper proposals. The overall conference theme is “Religion and Kindness,” and the Buddhist Studies unit’s call for papers is:

The Buddhist Studies unit invites papers on any topic exploring this year’s conference theme. We welcome papers covering any school of Buddhism and from all disciplinary approaches that address any facet of this year’s conference theme “Religion and Kindness,” directly or tangentially, or on other topics related to Buddhism. Please submit proposals to both Alison C. Jameson (ajameson@email.arizona.edu) and Jake Nagasawa (jnagasawa@umail.ucsb.edu).
